1989. Berlin Wall, comin’ down. GameBoy, comin’ up. I can still remember the paper smell from the B-Boys Boutique Cassette, which ends up being one of the best hip hop records of all time. Lot’s of great records came out in ’89, including Op Ivy, The Bosstones and more. This year I can feel my musical identity start to change, as I begin to shift away from the radio, and toward trading tapes, and buying records.
