1988
Air Date: 04.30.25 7PM CST
In this episode, we are still a little all over the place. Radio was still a major part of discovery, but slowly music was becoming a larger topic among my friend circle. 1988 was the year of some concert firsts, including Jane’s Addiction, Death, Testament, Beastie Boys, and a few others. What a time to be alive.
1988 – Reagan was leaving office, making way for Bush. 120 Minutes on MTV was a huge source of music info, and I started transitioning from commercial radio to smaller indie stations. It was the birth of my true appreciation of music, and a lot of these bands I still listen to quite a bit, 35+ years later.
